Gridline — Utility outage response concept

A utilities concept connecting an outage incident, feeder context, crew dispatch and a restoration update. Independent concept study by Revolvo Tech.

Independent product concept · Illustrative data

Connect the fault, crew and next customer update.

Designed for: Utility dispatch and restoration teams. Format: Outage-response workspace.

The problem

A restoration team needs to understand the affected area and the current response. An outage count alone does not explain the fault location, assigned crew or timing of the next update.

The direction

Gridline pairs a feeder diagram with an outage queue and a selected incident’s restoration checks.

Inside the product

  1. Locate the outage

The incident list distinguishes transformer, vegetation and switch issues.

  2. Understand the feeder

A schematic marks the fault in relation to the source and affected branch.

  3. Dispatch and update

Fault confirmation, crew unit and next-update time sit beside the dispatch action.

Design decisions

A schematic earns its space

The feeder drawing communicates the network context rather than serving as decorative circuitry.

Separate impact from action

Customer and restoration figures stay above a more specific crew and incident workflow.

What we would validate next

Confirm network-model accuracy, incident-data timing, field safety procedures and customer-update ownership with the utility’s operations specialists.
