The problem

A shift plan needs to be understood in relation to the mine site. Fleet counts become actionable when the team can see the route, an exclusion area and the next control update.

The direction

Stratafield pairs a site diagram with shift activities and a haulage-plan panel for the selected pit.

Inside the product

  1. Review shift activities

The queue distinguishes haul-route review, service checks and exclusion-zone clearance.

  2. Read the site plan

A marked route and hatched exclusion area establish the spatial context.

  3. Approve with context

Truck assignment, supervisor and update timing accompany the shift-plan action.

Design decisions

Use the site as context

Mine imagery establishes scale; the coded plan provides the specific route information.

Keep route labels visible

Map markers and proof arrows retain clear contrast and spacing within their panels.

What we would validate next

Validate route constraints, exclusion-zone updates, fleet-system integration and shift authority with mine operations and safety specialists.

This is an independent design exploration. The screens use illustrative brands and records; they describe a proposed experience.
