The problem

A shipment can progress through arrival and manifest receipt while one document still blocks clearance. Coordinators need to locate the exact missing item without losing the route and shipment reference.

The direction

Harborline pairs a shipment worklist with a four-stage freight flow and a customs-document panel for the selected bill of lading.

Inside the product

  1. Locate the shipment

The queue preserves the shipment reference and exception category.

  2. Check the handoff

Origin arrival, manifest, customs entry and release states show where the process is waiting.

  3. Review the customs entry

Manifest receipt, arrival timing and the missing entry stay beside the review action.

Design decisions

Keep logistics terminology

Shipment, manifest, customs entry and handoff documents describe a recognizable forwarding workflow.

Highlight one blockage

An accented customs stage directs attention without turning every milestone into an alert.

What we would validate next

Confirm carrier and customs-data sources, milestone timing, document ownership and exception escalation with the freight team.

This is an independent design exploration. The screens use illustrative brands and records; they describe a proposed experience.
